SCHOOL PROJECT

Introduction Many of the plays of Shakespeare are named after the hero of the play e.g. Hamlet, Othello and King Lear. This is true in the case of tragedies. In case of comedies, the title are not drawn from the names of hero or heroine e.g. Twelfth Night, As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing etc.. The title 'Merchant of Venice' is an exception. It can apply both to Antonio and Shylock. In this project, I would try to find out those very traits in Shylock's character that could give him the recognition more as a hero than a mere villain in the play.

Moral stories for kids

A Thirsty Crow It was a pleasant morning and it was the most pleasant breakfast that Kirka, the young crow had ever had. Everything seemed very charming and cheerful. "I'm quite grown up now", he thought "Why shouldn't I fly far away and explore some new lands?" Then he flew alone across the city and came to a strange place. There was no lake, no pond, no river. "How can I get some water to drink?" he wondered " The sun is already high up and very hot now. It feels like I would die of thirst." Suddenly he discovered a pitcher near a well, but the water level was low and his beak could not reach it. He at once made a nice plan and dropped some pebbles into the pitcher until the water came up to its neck. Kirka dipped his beak and drank to his heart's content.
