Do as directed 1. The water dripping from his face, the boy looked at her. (Split) A. i) The water was dripping from the boy's face. ii) He looked at her. 2. They recognized me and wounded me. ( Change the voice.) A. I was recognized and wounded by them. 3.She said, "I didn't know anyone else was there." ( Turn indirect) A. She said that she hadn't known any one else had been there. 4. They all answered his question differently. (Use the adjective from of  'differently' ) A. They all gave different answers to his question. 5. I do not recall the exact number of people she fed everyday. ( Turn affirmative) A. I forgot the exact number of people she fed everyday. 6. I cannot continue the discussion as my heart is palpitating. (Split) A. i) My heart is palpitating. ii) So I cannot continue the discussion.

People widely regarded my patents as an ideal couple. 6. This is not a correct approach. ( Turn affirmative) A. This is an incorrect approach.

(Split) A. i) She was a large woman. ii) She had a large purse. iii) The purse had everything in it.

Do as directed 1. She was silent.(Turn it negative) A. She did not say any word. 2. My mother's lineage was more distinguished than my father's. A. My father's lineage was not as distinguished as my mother's. 3. The man who had entered the compartment broke into my reverie. (Split) A. i) A man had entered the compartment. ii) He had broke into my reverie. 4. I cannot help you. ( Use an infinitive) A. I am unable to help you. 5. What more do I want? (Voice) A. What more is wanted by me? 6. " You have already been answered." said the hermit to the Tsar. A. The hermit told the Tsar that he had already been answered.

I cannot continue this discussion as my heart is palpitating.(split into simple sentences) Ans. i) My heart is palpitating. ii) I cannot continue this discussion. 6. "Why don't you say this to the people who come to you for help and advice?" I asked my father.( Turn into indirect speech) Ans. I asked my father why he did not say that to the people who come to him for help and advice.
